Vladimir Putin Visited Sevmash Yet Again Print

Chairman of the RF Government wished every success to shipbuilders in their work on fleet renovation.

 

 

Prime Minister accompanied by Vice Prime Ministers Igor Sechin and Sergey Ivanov, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, Fleet Commander in Chief Vladimir Vysotsky, President of JSC “USC” Roman Trotsenko” went up to the deck of nuclear missile carrying submarine Aleksandr Nevsky and complimented the submarine crew on completion of the first stage of the trials.

Later on contracts signing under the state defense order took place in a conference hall in the presence of Vladimir Putin. Totally 7 contracts were signed for the amount over 280 billion rubles. Among them are contracts for the development of upgraded submarines of projects Yasen and Borey as well as for the construction of serial nuclear submarines of Yasen class at Sevmash.

Besides, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the above mentioned vice-prime ministers and defense industry representatives. “We have thoroughly analyzed reasons which led to problems in the course of state defense order placing. According to this logic it was decided to place the state defense order for three years instead of one year. It will allow enterprises to plan and arrange their work in time. Our far-reaching plans on army and fleet renovation are to be fulfilled. This is the most important national task, - said the Prime Minister. – I would like to wish to shipbuilders, as well as Sevmash workers and all the employees of Russian military industrial complex success in their difficult and important work”.
