Visit of the Vice Prime Minister Print

Vice Prime Minister of the Russian government, chairman of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin visited Sevmash.

 

 

This was the first D. Rogozin’s visit to the Severodvinsk military shipyard. Dmitry Rogozin was accompanied by Deputy Minister for Economic Development of the Russian Federation Andrey Klepach, Director of Shipbuilding Industry Department of Ministry of Industry and Energy Leonid Strugov, Navy Commander-In-Chief admiral Vladimir Vysotsky, Northern Fleet Commander-In-Chief vice admiral Vladimir Korolev, CEO of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Roman Trotsenko and other high ranking officials. The Vice Prime Minister laid flowers to the Military Honour memorial, visited the museum, main shipbuilding workshop, where he not only had a view of a nuclear-powered submarine being built, but also had a talk with the workers. Mr. Rogozin went on board of nuclear-powered missile carrier Yuri Dolgoruky, which is being prepared to become a part of the Russian Navy, and at the building berth, where aircraft carrier Vikramaditya of the Indian Navy is being repaired and upgraded, Sevmash Director General Andrey Dyachkov told Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government about implementation of this international contract. Before leaving Severodvinsk D. Rogozin held a staff conference on topic of “Future Image of the Russian Navy”.
