This industrial branch includes several mechanical and mechanical assembly workshops, electrical repair shop and repair workshops. Process equipment used in mechanical facilities enables the operations to be carried out: turning, boring machining, automatic machining, electroerrosion treatment (holes and cavities of complicated profile are progressively machined), milling, comprehensive machining, and grinding.

Wire-drawing plant enables wire to be drawn. Gear cutting site is engaged in machining of gears which diameter is up to 1750 mm, and gear index – up to 18, conical gears which diameter is up to 880 mm and index up to 20, internal toothing gear rings which diameter is up to 800 mm and index – up to 12, spline shaft with length up to 2000 mm and index - up to 17. Production facilities are equipped with slotting and planer machines.

Covering bay provides epoxy-resin-based fiberglass plastic coating of parts and shafts.

Moreover, the equipment enables parts to be subjected to different types of heat and chemical treatment. It is also purposed for application of about 30 kinds of protection, decorative and special coats including such coatings as zinc, chrome, copper, and passivation, darkening, electropolishing etc. Workshops consist of special bays for welding and non-ferrous and stainless alloyed surfacing and painting bays as well. Accuracy of machined surfaces corresponds with 9th class.

Quality control is made at the hydraulic test stands and dye penetrant and ultra sonic inspection bays.     Mechanical facilities are involved in production of:

- marine arrangements and machinery, shaftlines and bearings for them, steering gears, marine pulling machinery, anchor and towing arrangements, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic devices and some other workpieces which diameter is up to 2000 mm, length up to 36000 mm, weight up to 50 tons, and large dimension steelworks which diameter is up to 6300 mm and height – up to 3200 mm (overall dimensions are 12000х5000х6000 mm), weight – up to 50 tons.

- fittings and apparatus for hydraulic and compressed air systems, fastenings which diameter is up to 1000 mm, length up to 3000 mm, weight – up to 5 tons, large dimension parts with diameter up to 1250 mm and height up to 1000 mm (overall dimension 1120х1250х1000 mm), weight up to 4 tons.

- bellows compensator, metal hoses, shock absorbers, and nonstandard production equipment;

Metal cutting equipment enables to workpieces to be treated with diameter up to 1000 and length up to 5000 mm, weight up to 5 tons, large dimension items which diameter is 3200 mm with height up to 2800 mm (overall dimensions 2500х2000х2000 mm), weight up to 16 tons.

- tight tanks such as autoclaves, shock absorbers, welded foundations. Workpiece diameters are up to 2000 mm, length - 8000 mm, weight – up to 25 tons, large dimension workpieces which diameter is up to 6300 mm with height up to 3200 mm (overall dimensions 14000х5000х6000 mm) and weight up to 16 tons.
