MISSILE CARRIER RETURNED FROM TESTS

    Atomic submarine missile carrier “Yuriy Dolgorukiy” successfully passed factory sea trials.
    This very atomic submarine was demonstrated last week in the sea to President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev.
    In the middle of June the shop under the command of Commander Captain Vladimir Shirin and responsible deliverer N. Semakov left the water area of Sevmash and went to the training ground. During these trials submarine systems and equipment were inspected. After the required preparation the submarine was successfully submerged. Tests results shall be analyzed, but according to preliminary data, Sevmash administration and Navy Command give high appraisals of the first put out. “We can say with certainty that the first sea trials were held excellently”, - Director General of Sevmash A. Dyachkov comments. “Taking into account that this is a head submarine of the series, and we did not perform trials within 18 years, the comments we have today are insignificant. All of them, no doubt, will be eliminated. The most important thing is that the ship has shown perfect characteristics during trials”.
