SEVMASH NEW SHIP

         On the 14th of December 2007 diesel electric submarine Б-90 “Saratov” was taken out from FSUE “PO “Sevmash” slip way shop.
     Experimental submarine is a universal test bench, meant for adjusting and carrying out testing being developed and updated armament samples. Bench is designed for long-term operation and possibility of several updatings.
     Submarine technical project is developed by FSUE CDB MT “Rubin” in 1989. Building started the same year as on “Krasnoye Soromovo” enterprise (Nizhny Novgord), continued on FSUE “PO “Sevmash”. Factory trials are planned to be performed in 2008. Б-90 crew, formed by Northern Fleet commander order, has passed training in Naval Forces center.
     Enterprise administration, representatives of project organizations and Naval Fleet took part in taking submarine out of workshop. Success of Sevmash labour collective and the leading part in building submarines was mentioned during meeting.
